Naomi Jensen
Naomi is TEAM’s President and CEO, responsible for business operations, financial management, and key communications with regulatory agencies, government entities, and project stakeholders. Naomi also serves as the Managing Director, overseeing employees, subcontractors, and other resources to effectively serve a wide range of clients.
Naomi joined TEAM in 1999 as an Environmental Scientist after earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. In 2015, after 16 years with the firm, Naomi took over the helm, providing a seamless transition of business ownership, and enabling TEAM to continue to serve its clients with the highest level of professional and responsive service.
For over 20 years, Naomi has been conducting field work and interfacing with local, state, and federal agencies related to permitting and regulatory compliance. She has worked with a wide range of clients on their groundwater, soil, and gas monitoring programs, as well as the installation, operations, and maintenance of groundwater remediation systems. Naomi has participated in or managed surface water and groundwater studies involving the compilation of surface water data, research of water uses and water rights, monitoring of surface and groundwater levels, and technical report preparation.
Naomi’s expertise includes all aspects of project permitting and implementation, ranging from CEQA Initial Studies to Final Reclamation Plans. She has successfully assisted clients with compliance with a variety of environmental permitting requirements, including Waste Discharge Requirements and Conditional Use Permits issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board, Inyo and Mono Counties, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Inyo National Forest.
Prior to joining TEAM, Naomi worked with the Santa Barbara Flood Control District to manage vegetation and maintain riparian areas.
A graduate of Bishop Union High School, Naomi returned to the Owens Valley after college, and is raising her two children here. Her family enjoys skiing, hiking, and anything outdoors in the beautiful Eastern Sierra region.
